Jones Evans CD-Cover-fullcolorA Gospel King and Hip Hop Royalty have merged their kingdoms on the uplifting new urban inspirational track, “Rejoice with Me.” Written by Earnest Harkins and produced by Michael Bereal (Earnest Pugh, Beverly Crawford) and Professor James Roberson, the infectious song features NSC (Dr. Bobby Jones’ Nashville Super Choir) providing the celebratory backdrop to Faith Evans’ honey-soul vocalizing and Dr. Bobby Jones signature introduction. It’s a rousing call to praise and worship that just entered the Billboard Top 25 Hot Gospel Songs chart.

“I am so excited about the release of ‘Rejoice with Me’ and proud to be a part of Dr. Jones’ project,” says Evans who currently stars in TV One’s popular “R&B Divas” reality show. “Having watched his show for years to see my favorite gospel artists, as well as his singers & band, I never imagined I’d one day be among them.” For his part, Jones says of Evans, “I’m so honored that she’d lend her voice to this project and she did a phenomenal job.”

The digital single goes on sale exclusively on iTunes on December 17th. Fans are in for another big treat when club remixes of the song are released in January. The radio single anchors Dr. Jones’ first CD in seven years, “Rejoice With Me,” scheduled to hit stores March 25, 2014 on EchoPark JDI Entertainment (Caroline Distribution).

This soul-stirring, ten track-set is comprised of all original music and also features backing vocals and solos by members of the NSC (Nashville Super Choir) that regularly performs on Jones’ TV show. In addition to the track featuring Faith Evans, other stars making cameo appearances include Ann Nesby and Howard Hewett. The project is arguably the best album of Jones’ career and Roberson was the one who initiated the production. “I didn’t care to do another project and I had not been successful with all the other projects and I didn’t want to go through that again,” Jones says. “James said this would be something for my legacy and that’s what spurred me to agree to it.”
