Grammy Winner Karen Clark Sheard Releases “He Knows” Radio Single From Bestselling “All In One” CD

Detroit, MI — Karew Records continues to make a big splash in gospel music circles as it releases Grammy winner Karen Clark Sheard’s new radio single, “He Knows.” The hypnotic, urban-flavored ballad is a duet with Sheard’s sister, Dorinda Clark Cole, and was produced by the hit-making team of PAJAM. The song comes on the heels of Sheard’s Top Ten smash, “Prayed Up” that spent 33 weeks on the Billboard chart. “He Knows” is the #1 most added song at gospel radio this week with 20 new stations and a 66% increase in spins.

“That song was written by J Moss and he knows me and if anybody knows me, he does,” Sheard  explains. “He’s like a brother to me. He said, `this sounds just like you.’ The song also gave me another opportunity to sing with my sister Dorinda and we always have a good time in the studio together. “

The radio world is having a good time in the studio with the second single from the best-selling,  All In One, CD too. Syndicated radio jock, Cory “Coco Brother” Condrey, feels the song is perfect for his 25-54 urban radio demographic. He selected the song as his Pick Hit last week and says, “Karen’s record is awesome! It sounds great and relevant! Put PAJAM on it and you have a HIT!” Carmina Barnett, music director at Dallas’ #1 gospel station KHVN, agrees and has the song in heavy rotation on her playlist. ”The anointed power of two of gospel music’s most beautiful voices is a match made in heaven,” she says.

Sheard’s star power is shining brighter than ever. She will be one of the celebrity judges on Verizon Wireless’ “How Sweet The Sound” gospel competition finale on November 13th at Washington, D.C.’s Verizon Center. Since this past May, Sheard has criss-crossed the country as a co-star in Angela Barrow-Dunlap’s hit musical stage play, “Church Girl,” that also features Robin Givens and A’ngela Winbush. The national tour continues on to New York City’s Beacon Theater for a November 16-21st run.

Sheard has enjoyed high-profile TV appearance with shows such as, BET’s The Mo’Nique Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, “The View to name a few. She and Dorinda Clark Cole will perform “He Knows” on BET’s “Bobby Jones Gospel” program airing Sunday, November 21, 2010 @ 9:00 a.m. EST. Aside from three decades of legendary hits songs with The Clark Sisters, Sheard is also known for her solo success with memorable songs such as, “Balm in Gilead”, “Nothing Without You”, “Favor”, and “The Heavens Are Telling.” She and her husband, Bishop J. Drew Sheard (Pastor of Greater Emmanuel Institutional C.O.G.I.C. in Detroit), founded Karew Records in 2009. For more information, visit www.karewrecords.com
