Fresh off of a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas for the 31st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, Gospel music’s reigning princess, Jekalyn Carr, announces the digital release date for her newest single, ‘You’re Bigger.” The single, which has been gaining momentum at radio stations across the country, further solidifying that Carr is the voice of Gospel music’s future, will be available where digital music is sold, on Good Friday, March 25th.Amidst all of the fanfare and revelry taking place during Stellar Awards weekend, Carr managed to make her mark and leave an indelible impression with everyone she encountered. As reps for the Stellar Awards put it, “Carr rocked the Pre Show…” where she delivered a dynamic performance of “You’re Bigger” that left the audience inspired, uplifted, and clamoring for more, “…and the red carpet,” where the now 18 year-old appeared radiant in an elegant turquoise beaded gown. Carr also participated in an epic “Leaders of the New School” photo to be featured in an upcoming issue of Root Magazine. At the shoot, Carr took her rightful place alongside her peers Jonathan McReynolds, Tasha Cobbs, Anthony Brown, and others as the torch carriers of Gospel Music.
A two-time Stellar nominee, for Traditional CD of the Year (2014’s It’s Gonna Happen) and Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year, Carr attended the festivities to celebrate the reception of her last musical offering, and to promote and foreshadow The Life Project, the highly anticipated forthcoming release, upon which “You’re Bigger” is found.
“You’re Bigger” is a bold and timely declaration of God’s sovereignty, and is resonating with Gospel listeners everywhere. Reaching Billboard’s coveted Top 40 Gospel Singles Chart just two weeks after being serviced to radio stations, it is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Written by Allen Carr, who also penned Carr’s prior smash hit, “Greater Is Coming,” “You’re Bigger” packs the same powerful one-two punch as the lyrics serve as a confident reminder of God’s power and as the Gospel prodigy ministers the song as only she can with her signature, age-defying, assurance and conviction.
Rife with the promise of God’s omnipotence, “You’re Bigger” is perfectly suited for digital release during Holy Week, and more specifically, on Good Friday, the day Christians around the globe celebrate the greatest manifestation of Christ’s love for us and His impending victory over all calamity and persecution in His life, and ergo, in ours.
