“Having a mother diagnosed with MS, it’s been a desire of mine to create awareness of the disease as well as the importance of finding a cure. I decided to do it through the releasing of the EP.” Newry states, “With this release, our desire is not to only take the steps necessary to making a difference in my mother’s life by supporting this cause, but in the lives of individuals suffering from MS daily.”
The 7-song project, written, produced and arranged by Newry, features the hit single “I’ll Say Yes” and feet stomping, head bobbing tracks such as “Might As Well” and “You Make Me Happy.” Released independently by JoyUs Ministries, the EP is available via www.jnewry.com, ITunes and Amazon.com.
Born in Houston, TX. and raised in Albany, NY, J.Newry has had a passion for music since childhood. Diverse in the areas of Classical, Jazz and Gospel piano, J.Newry has been coined as one of the most influential artists within the Gospel Music Industry today. Known for his skills in songwriting, arranging, and producing, J.Newry has also served as a music director, minister of music as well as contributed to the success of numerous churches and organizations in the Capitol District Area of New York State, both creatively and musically.
A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, J. Newry is the Minister of Music at Eagles Summit Christian Center in Durham, North Carolina.
