Ramsey and his management team have opened the door for this opportunity because of his upbringing, “I recognize what an extraordinary life I’ve had–beginning with being asked to play for my dad’s gospel choir at nine years old. That early opportunity has led to a wonderful career. But, with the exception of the With One Voice project, I’ve never gone back to that place in my heart or mind. That nine-year-old boy never got the opportunity to see what God has done in this church community since 1945. I’ve never been in the mega churches. I’ve never had the opportunity to experience the wonderful choirs and music programs that have become to my community what music in the schools was to me and my peers coming up. I want to experience this. I want to perform with the best choirs and visit dynamic churches. I need to reconnect with the gift that has provided so much to me, and acknowledge publicly where it came from. I want not only to feel blessed as I leave these churches but knowing that my gift has been a blessing to them as well.” – Ramsey Lewis
The tour dates are still being worked about according to Jody Mainello, owner of Lone Oak Entertainment. “If a church has interest in becoming a host, we will work through the details to make it happen. “
