The God Belongs In My City Prayer Walk is a national movement and statement of faith that has communities and cities banning together to not just impact their city, but bring change to their city and to the world. With 2012 GBIMC Prayer walks being organized in numerous cities across the country (Dallas and Houston, TX; Hawaii; Fayetteville, NC; Minneapolis, MN) and abroad (Zurich, Switzerland; Chilliwack, Canada), the movement has grown tremendously since its conception in 2009 and is now set to take over the entire state of Florida.
“Our vision is to see all the churches and believers alike under one banner come together to pray and take a spiritual stand for our cities in the State of Florida’” expresses Alan Diaz, Co-Chairman of God Belongs In My City – National Office. “The impact from this silent prayer walk will bring Unity with all different ethnicities, nominations and creeds,” He continues. “We are expecting to see thousands of believers in each city throughout the State of Florida – declaring that ‘God Belongs In Our City’.
This fearless call to rise up as one and not collapse under the waves of this world will be carried out on August 25 throughout the state of Florida in Jacksonville, Ocala, Orlando, West Palm Beach and Miami. Everyone is invited to participate in this massive effort and can do so by registering individually or register a group for free and purchasing a GBIMC T-shirt.
In addition to the Florida Prayer Walks, Christian music’s hottest artists – Andy Mineo, Anthony Shepherd & The Roar, and Sheena Lee will headline the GBIMC Concert Tour. Concerts will take place in Jacksonville on August 16th, Orlando on August 17th and in Miami on August 18th. The pre-walk concerts will also feature dynamic speakers: Daniel Sanabria, David Ham, JJ Vasquez and special appearances by KB (Jacksonville), Benjah (Orlando), and Rhema Soul (Miami).
