“The song is about the ability to stand on the warranty and authority of God’s word regardless of what’s seen with the natural eye and how sometimes you have to trust God where you can’t trace him,” says Williams who just recently left his longtime post as Director of Music & Arts at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church (where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. served as assistant pastor at the height of the `60s Civil Rights Movement) in Atlanta to focus on his musical career. Williams’ forthcoming CD release, “Introducing Keith Williams.” Is tentatively scheduled for a late summer 2012 release.
Williams is a classically trained pianist and vocalist. He’s spent the last two decades as a worship leader at prestigious churches across the United States such as Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Ft. Washington, MD and the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta where Martin Luther King Jr. once served as pastor. Williams’ style is a cross between the legendary Douglas Miller’s nearly operatic baritone and John Stoddard’s polished notes. Over the years, Williams has written songs for Jennifer Holliday, Dottie Peoples, Vanessa Armstrong and Earnest Pugh. His debut CD, “…& Again I Say Rejoice,” appeared in 2008.
