Two-time BET Award winner Donnie McClurkin adds another nod to the list with a recent nomination for Best Gospel Artist. He walked away with the first BET Award for Best Urban Contemporary Gospel Artist in June 2001 and again in 2005 with two nods in between.
The gospel music veteran continues to make his mark in the industry with his latest release, DUETS on RCA Inspiration. Also nominated this year alongside McClurkin is: Erica Campbell, Tye Tribbett, Hezekiah Walker and Tamela Mann. The 2014 winner will be announced live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Sunday, June 29 at 8pm.
Fans can tune in to the Steve Harvey Morning Show on Monday, May 19 @8:45am/ET to hear McClurkin and Harvey chat about the new CD, the nomination and other happenings. Then on Wednesday, June 4 McClurkin is set to make an appearance on The Steve Harvey Show that airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listing for channel and times.
