Deitrick Haddon’s A Beautiful Soul Experience: Fan Appreciation Event In Detroit

After selling upwards of 100,000 copies of the “Blessed & Cursed” film DVD that showcased Grammy Award nominated recording artist Deitrick Haddon’s first starring role as an actor, he is now prepping for the rollout of his second big acting vehicle. The singer-songwriter’s new film, “A Beautiful Soul,” is done and will make its national debut at AMC Theaters across the country on May 4th when it will also open at two Detroit-area AMC theaters: Southfield 20 (25333 West 12 Mile Rd. Southfield, MI 48034) Forum 30 (44681 Mound Rd. Sterling Heights, MI 48314) .

In the meantime, Haddon, who now lives in Los Angeles, is coming to his native Detroit for A Beautiful Soul Experience: Fan Appreciation Tour to rally fans to support the theatrical release of it the first week in May.  During the event, Haddon will sing music from the film, engage in a Q&A session with attendees and show exclusive clips of the film to whet fans appetites to go out and support the movie when it opens.

 

The party takes place April 17th @ 7 p.m., Christian Tabernacle Church, located at 26555 Franklin Road, Southfield, MI 48033. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Directed by Jeff Byrd (“Soul Food “ TV series), “A Beautiful Soul”, is the story of Andre Stephens (Haddon), an R&B superstar who has success, fame and fortune but has lost his way spiritually.  The film follows Andre after his “perfect” life is shattered in a brutal attack that leaves he and his best friend, Chris Johnson (Ri’chard), clinging to life.  The tragedy pushes Andre onto a spiritual journey that forces him to make a choice that could change his destiny forever.  Leading the “A Beautiful Soul” cast is Haddon as Andre Stephens.  The film also stars Harry Lennix (“The Matrix”) as Jeff Freeze, Robert Ri’chard (“Coach Carter”), Lesley Ann Brandt (“Spartacus”), and Barry Floyd (“The Game”). The film also features an original soundtrack of music from Deitrick Haddon as well Kierra Sheard and Faith Evans, among others.
