Church Of God In Christ Launches New Website For Convocation In St. Louis

Los Angeles, CA The Church of God in Christ is launching a new web site today for the 2010 Convocation convening, November 8-16, in St. Louis, Missouri. The new site will make it easier for the expected 40,000 attendees to obtain information about the convention.

The new web site includes anything and everything you need to know about the 103rd Convocation. www.cogic.org allows you to take a walk through the convention before you get there. The daily schedule for each event is posted along with Bios of speakers and singers.
Commissioner of Technology and Media Antwan Powel’s describes his enthusiasm with the new site: “When we designed the site we wanted it to have everything that someone interested in attending the Convocation would want.” Powel’s adds “we have an incredible Media section that provides Live video streams of the Convocation 24-7 in addition the site allows you to watch video clips from past Convocations On-Demand for free, now that’s cool.”
Other features found on the new site include: an On-Line Press Room, a detailed description of the St. Louis America’s Center, where the convention will be held, to help attendees navigate the Center. Along with an intuitive seating chart of the Dome where the Sunday morning Official Day Service will be held. The new web site also features fast, easy navigation ensuring a user-friendly visitor experience while providing user-friendly functionalities.
With a new web site and a new city for the convention, the 2010 Convocation is expected to be the largest gathering of the Church of God in Christ this year. For the past one hundred and two years the Convocation has been held in Memphis, TN.
