The pool of schools considered for this ranking were accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) or the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). Member institutions of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) were also considered. Each school from the 50 Best Christian Colleges and Universities was given a ranking score and assigned a weighted value. Secondly, a weighted value was assigned to each school’s score in the 50 Most Affordable Christian Colleges and Universities ranking. Lastly, the weighted scores were combined to produce the current ranking.

Anna Rebekah Orr, associate editor for the ranking, states that “the schools in our list excel at combining a high quality educational experience while keeping the net price of their tuition very reasonable.” Orr hopes this ranking will be a useful tool for parents and students to stretch their education dollars as far as possible. Orr goes on to say, “At Christian Universities Online (CUO) we know parents and students want to make the best use of their, often limited, financial resources.”
