Today we celebrate the birthday of one of the greatest voices to exist in our lifetime. Music Legend Whitney Houston would have turned 50 years old today, August 9, 2013. The late singer met her untimely death on February 11, 2012 as a result of ‘cardiac complications’. Her legacy includes 31 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, seven Grammys, two Emmys, and a plethora of others. Whitney dabbled in Gospel music throughout her career as she was introduced to music by singing in the church.
