Branden Anderson of G.I. Announces Solo Career

G.I. Member Branden Anderson recently announced social media the start of a new chapter in his life.

After 20 years of recording, touring and topping the Billboard Charts with one of Gospel’s most beloved and celebrated urban contemporary male groups, he is launching his solo career. The announcement was met with much excitement and anticipation for his forthcoming single “God Did It Again” produced by Daniel Bryant (G.I., Tamela Mann, Chris Brown, Chante Moore). Branden is the President and CEO of the Billboard Charting, Stellar-Award Nominated Record Label BGA Music Group (G.I., Christian Bolar). Many identify Branden as the foundation and backbone of G.I. But just as Charlie Wilson, Lionel Richie, Marques Houston, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar, Beyonce and many others all emerged from music groups to come into their own artistry, it is now Branden’s time.

On his social media post he shared how a prophetess from Richmond Virginia, Rose Foust, prophesied 20 years ago that she saw him doing something big in the future, but by himself. 20 years later after the prophesy (during the pandemic) Branden stumbled onto a live feed she was doing, and she saw him. And right there she prophesied that she saw Branden reinventing himself and that God was going to reboot him and start him all over again.

The Word of God did not return void because on August 2, 2021, Branden’s debut single “God Did It Again” hits Radio. He is now available for concert, preaching, and motivational speaking engagements. Branden makes it clear that G.I. has not ended. “For the record, G.I. has NOT ended. We have a new song that’s climbing the charts, multiple upcoming tour dates, and a new music video on the way. I am simply the newest artist to sign with BGA Music Group adding to its catalogue of great artists and great music! A new chapter has begun. Can’t wait for you guys to hear the song.”
