A key objective of the summit is to build bridges of faith and a climate of peace between diverse religions and cultures, while fostering deep understanding of the issues stemming from the Middle East, the global threat of terrorism and the expanding interdependence of global economies. Religious reformations will increasingly play a huge part in advancing multicultural understanding, reconciliation and peace around the world; the summit is created to begin an immersion into these pressing matters, particularly so that pastoral leaders have the tools to further teach their ministers and congregations while inspiring the worldwide community of faith to stand for a global society of peace and multicultural dialogue.
The symposium will be co-facilitated by Ugoji Adanma Ese, Esq., Counter Terrorism and National Security Analyst and President, The Engr. Eze Foundation and Bishop Harold Calvin Ray, JD, Vice Presiding Bishop, Global United Fellowship and CEO, Redemptive Life Global Impact Ministries in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Bishop Neil Ellis says: “As a result of a deep and passionate concern and mandate that I and the Global United Fellowship have from God to UNITE the body of Christ, this intercultural, interdenominational and international assemblage of religious reformations will convene to discuss our role in the ever-growing necessity for our collective involvement in matters of justice, peace, poverty and economic growth. What better place for such discussions to be held than the headquarters of the United Nations, the premier catalyst for global change?
“I sincerely believe that the time is now to raise awareness of the expanding, essential and significant role of religious reformations in promoting mediation, reconciliation and peace in the Middle East and around the globe, while supporting and enhancing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals targeting poverty, economic growth, peace and justice, as outlined in Goals Number 1, 8 and 16.This level of awareness will require us to go outside the walls of our churches and the arms of our Internal Reformations.”
The symposium will also engender a clarion call for members of the Black, Jewish and Hispanic communities to thoroughly discuss, comprehensively understand and collectively deploy efforts to ameliorate circumstances creating disunity and violence, particularly as increasingly being reflected in sporadic hot beds of terrorism around the globe.
