Many may know Branden Anderson as 1/3 of the award-winning trio “G.I.” However, outside of being a member of one of gospel music’s favorite male groups, he wears many hats. One of those hats include being the founder and CEO of BGA School of Music, a Performing Arts School in Richmond Virginia. BGA, whose enrollment is just at about 100 students, provides an environment where students of all ages, races, and backgrounds come to nurture their God-given talents. This Spring, BGA is officially launching its artist development program entitled “Rise.” “Rise” was created out of a demand to educate, nurture, and launch aspiring recording artists into the music industry. The program officially launches Friday June 8th with its premiere student, Sa’Vannah Aaliyah.
“Sa’Vannah is special to BGA as she was our first student in 2010” recalls Branden. “I remember it like it was yesterday. We were so excited to open our doors on January 4th 2010 at 4pm. Sa’Vannah came in a few minutes to 4pm, took her piano lesson, and the rest is history. Now she’s making history again as BGA’s premiere “Rise” student.” And that’s exactly what Sa’Vannah Aaliyah is doing: Rising! Admired and revered by her peers, and her community at large, Sa’Vannah Aaliyah is a singer, pianist, songwriter and overall humanitarian. She co-wrote her debut single “See You Through,” a song written to inspire and encourage her generation to look to God during the difficult times in life. “I want my music to bring hope and positive change to all who need it,” says Sa’vannah. “See You Through” is now available on iTunes, Amazon, and all other outlets!
