cognew

Although an official statement has yet-to-be released, online sources claim that BET’s “Celebration of Gospel” is cancelled. The annual televised special premiered in 2000 and was originally hosted by comedian Steve Harvey, until this year, when actress Taraji P. Henson filled his shoes.

The 2014 “Celebration of Gospel” drew in close to 3 million viewers, earning the show its highest ratings ever. After reaching such a pinnacle, many are left clueless as to why the network would cancel the show. Hopefully, BET will release a statement soon to enlighten the public about their drastic decision.
