BET’s ‘Sunday Best’ Returns July 10 with 2-Hour Premiere

BET’s gospel competition series “Sunday Best” returns for its fourth season on Sunday, July 10 at 8 p.m. in a special two-hour premiere that will cover the audition process.

Returning this year is host Kirk Franklin, as well as the three judges: multi-award winning siblings Erica and Tina Campbell of Mary Mary and gospel recording artist Pastor Donnie McClurkin. Musical powerhouse Kim Burrell also returns as celebrity mentor.

In the premiere episodes, thousands of contestants make their way to audition stops in Dallas, Los Angeles and Atlanta, but only 20 are selected to compete in Atlanta.

In addition to the title of “Sunday Best,” the winner of season four will receive a national recording contract, a cash prize and a brand new 2011 Ford Explorer.
