Award-Nominated Gospel Ensemble Zondre’ & Unstoppable Praise Declare “Get Right Church”

ZondreGetRightChurchGospel music is known as “music with a message”. Zondre’ & Unstoppable Praise get straight to the point with their latest song, “Get Right Church”. Quickly becoming an anthem, Zondre’ & Unstoppable Praise have been singing the declarative song all over the country.  Heard on Gospel radio stations including Kirk Franklin’s SiriusXM Radio and their own Pandora station, “Get Right Church” is a musical pronouncement from one of Fort Lauderdale’s up and coming Gospel ensembles. Consisting of all females, the 2016 Rhythm of Gospel Award–nominated singing aggregation has been blessed to open up for Gospel luminaries such as Rance Allen and Maurette Brown Clark. Known for their spirited and soul-shaking performances, they recently released the music video for the group’s single.

“Get Right Church” is a message that Zondre’ feels passionate about. She says, “As I was driving in my car one day, I was saddened by some of the things I witnessed in church. I was grieved because I see people going to church, but for some of them, the church isn’t inside of them. As a PK (preacher’s kid), I have seen a lot, but that particular day, I found myself crying out to the Lord.  I asked Him to help us to get right. The song’s lyrics started to come and later on, my brother and now producer Todrick added music to it.” Since that time, the song has become a fan favorite with a mix of old school Gospel and contemporary grooves. She continues, “Through this song, we are shouting ‘get right church’ to the nations. We want to remind people that they have to start living right and that God still requires holiness. That’s our cry to the world. We want everyone to see Jesus, so it’s time to ‘get right church’.”

The song is included on the group’s latest CD, Today Is The Day. Songs like the soulful “I’m Still Here”, the inspiring “Call on Jesus” and the unforgettable “He’ll See You Through” showcase Gospel music at its finest.  Believers will also enjoy tracks like the perennial favorite “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and the new up-tempo track, “Wealthy Place”. The CD is a diverse collection of traditional and contemporary Gospel music. Making sure that no grass grows under their feet, Zondre’ & Unstoppable Praise are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on a brand new release. The new project, scheduled to drop this summer, will include a new rousing rendition of “Get Right Church” and a number of new songs from the pen of Zondre’.

It’s no surprise that Zondre’’s first song would focus on church; it’s in her blood. Her late grandfather was Overseer Boykin Hunter and her father is Bishop Dr. Joseph B. Hunter, Presiding Prelate of The Church of Christ Upon the Rock of the Apostolic Faith International, Inc.  Zondre’ has always loved singing, and joined her church choir at the age of 4. She, her sister Sherry and a couple of friends formed a singing group, The Harmonizing Four and ministered in southern Florida. Those same members became members of Zondre’’s current group, Unstoppable Praise. After 30 years, they are all still singing together.  Since that time, Zondre’ has played the keyboard and is currently a choir director and the praise and worship leader for her church, Holy Temple Worship Center in Miami, FL.  Her talents have caught the attention of the Gospel community at large. In addition to the ensemble being nominated for five 2016 Rhythm of Gospel Awards including Traditional CD of the Year (for Today Is The Day), Female Quartet/Group of the Year, Contemporary Group/Ensemble of the Year, Rhythm of Gospel Music Video of the Year (for “Get Right Church”) and Best Performance By Group/Duo, locally, they’ve been celebrated as well with six 2015 South Florida Gospel Music Award Nominations. They are also nominated for a 2016 Tampa Bay Gospel Award for Traditional Group of the Year.  For more information on Zondre’ & Unstoppable Praise, log on towww.zondremusic.com.
