Westboro Baptist Church Announces Plan To Picket Steve Jobs Funeral

According to our source, Westboro Baptist Church leader Margie J. Phelps has announced that the group will picket the Apple co-founder’s funeral, condemning him for “teaching his neighbors to sin.” While their actually reasons for promoting the picket seem a bit unclear, how Phelps made the announcement is causing quite a stir (and garnering a few laughs).

She tweeted from an iPhone. The tweet that has critics pointing out the irony says little more than “He is in hell.” The controversial church seems to be sticking by their words, however ignoring criticism for the method used to get out their message.

Steve Jobs, the visionary in the black turtleneck who co-founded Apple in a Silicon Valley garage, built it into the world’s leading tech company and led a mobile-computing revolution with wildly popular devices such as the iPhone, died Wednesday. He was 56.

The hard-driving executive pioneered the concept of the personal computer and of navigating them by clicking onscreen images with a mouse. In more recent years, he introduced the iPod portable music player, the iPhone and the iPad tablet — all of which changed how we consume content in the digital age.

this is a real shame that someone would start up something like that at someone’s funeral. Mr. Jobs was a human being, even if he wasn’t a Christian (which we will never know). His family should be able to put their family member to rest in peace. This woman is only causing trouble for herself. There are several pastors and leaders that are “Causing” people to sin also by not speaking to them, telling their business when they are supposed to be praying for the person, taking their money and lying to them saying God is going to give them a car and all of that foolishness…. All I can say to this woman is.. read your word.. the Bible says that judgement will come into the house of God first! So, becareful that God don’t have some protest at your funeral saying that you were not a holy woman of God… becareful…. That is all I am saying..
