Singer and Actress Micayla De Ette Releases Single and Video From Original Motion Picture HOLD ON

Holding a degree in Music Ministries Leadership from Bethany University, Micayla De Ette is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, worship leader, actress, model, and vocal coach.  She has a 5-octave, classically trained voice that easily transitions into Gospel, R&B, and Blues.  Micayla spent the early part of her career touring with acclaimed Gospel artist Eddie James and opening for many well-known artists including Kirk Franklin, Sandy Patti, Nicole C. Mullen, Salvador, Rebecca St. James and more.  Fusing her vocal prowess with a love of theater, Micayla finds herself today releasing a new album and staring in the forthcoming feature film Hold On.

 

The Hold On movie is inspired by Micayla’s real-life experiences of fighting to save her brother from a life of addiction on Los Angeles’ Skid Row.  The film also chronicles her experiences as an overlooked singing prodigy embarking on an unlikely journey with the son of a famed music manager.  Hold On is set for a theatrical release in over 600 theaters nationwide on December 6. The emotional and gripping film is being released by The Film Bureau and is being supported by the National Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) boasting a coalition of over 400,000 churches.

 

The powerful movie features live performances of several of Micayla’s original songs which are available on the film’s soundtrack. In addition, the title track and single “Hold On” is impacting Gospel radio stations across the country.  Micayla also releases the companion official music video to “Hold On” which is available on YouTube.
