One of Shirley Murdock’s fondest memories as a child was singing familiar gospel songs in her church choir and with friends. Her love for Gospel Music is evident through her music and has continued throughout her career.
It comes to no surprise, that at any moment, Murdock can be heard singing gospel favorites along with music from her current project The Journey. Fans and supporters will be able to hear Ms. Murdock as she celebrates the rich heritage of Gospel Music in Baltimore and Dayton, OH on June 8-10th.
On June 8th, Murdock will share her love for God and the Gospel music through song at Truth and Life Family Worship Center’s 10th Pastoral & Church Anniversary in the Baltimore area.
Murdock’s music ministry will continue on June 9-10th in her hometown of Dayton during the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s “In the Spirit…Rejoice” concert event.
Shirley will perform live during the “In the Spirit…Rejoice” event at the Dayton Convention Center. “In the Spirit Of…Rejoice” is a celebration of the African American church through dance, song, and a large choir of community singers.
During the event, Ms. Murdock will chime right in with the celebration with her songs “He is God”, “Upward Way”, “Rejoice C’mon” & “He is the Rock” from The Journey project.
From Baltimore to Dayton, the Journey continues and fans will definitely enjoy all that Shirley Murdock has to share through her music.
