BET‘s hit singing competition Sunday Best will return for its fourth season with a two-hour season premiere on July 10, 2011 at 8p ET. Auditions for this season’s talent took place in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, with thousands of hopefuls participating in auditions. Celebrity judges Donnie McClurkin and Mary Mary will return and Kirk Franklin will again serve as the show’s guest host. Kim Burrell will also return as the season’s vocal mentor.

I appreciate God inspired shows on T.V. We certainly need a lot more considering where our youth are going today. However, what is “Sunday’s Best”? If my recollection serves me well, any repentant heart who wants to praise God~thanking Him for taking away their sins…is God’s BEST. Talent is fine and all BUT God is searching your heart when you decide to dedicate anything to Him. How sincere are you (singer, producer, songwriter, instrumental musician or director) in your commitment to God when NOT performing? Sadly, this question is NOT being asked by some of today’s top selling gospel artists. It has become about “PERFORMING” rather than “OFFERING” a praise gift unto God!
