Robert E. Person Rejoices During The Holiday Season With A Birthday Celebration Concert

This year has been a great year for Robert E. Person.  Last summer, the gospel crooner released his third CD, Soul Sanctuary.  The project’s lead single, “Someday We’ll All Be Free”, a remake of the Donny Hathaway classic, has been embraced by radio and soared up the Mediabase charts.  With appearances including the Library of Congress, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Dedication, Rejoice In The Word on the WORD Network and Babbie’s House, 2011 shaped up to be a great year for the award-winning singer.  He will be closing out the year with a Birthday Celebration Concert  at the H Street Playhouse (1365 H Street, NE, Washington, DC).

Desiring to celebrate his birthday in musical style, Robert has invited some of his closest friends to share in his special day.  In addition to a performance by the evening’s host, the event will feature fellow artists Quest, Jimmy Russell & Because Of Christ, Allyn Johnson & Divine Order and Tony Thomas.  The Birthday Celebration Concert is presented by Theater Alliance and REP Music.  Seating is limited and advance reservations are recommended.

Person is currently performing in the musical Black Nativity, which runs through Saturday, December 31, at H Street Playhouse.  Presented by Theater Alliance and written by Langston Hughes, Black Nativity recounts the Christmas story through a gifted cast of actors, singers and dancers.  More information about the musical is available at www.TheaterAlliance.com.  Additional information about Robert E. Person can be found at www.RobertEPerson.com.
