New Gospel Ensemble, William Stevens, Jr. & Jubilant Nation, Prepares Worshippers With New Single, “The Atmosphere Is Ready”

unnamed (14)Gospel artist and songwriter William Stevens, Jr. understands that believers can find their strength in worship.  The Washington, DC-based worship leader and musician along with his group, Jubilant Nation, have been bringing Christians into the presence of God at numerous churches in their hometown.  Blessed to open up for artists like Earnest Pugh, Jonathan Nelson, Lonnie Hunter and Latice Crawford, their unforgettable music and passionate performances have resulted in the gifted ensemble receiving three DMV Christian Music Award Nominations.  As they ready their brand new CD release, they are releasing their first single, “The Atmosphere Is Ready”.  The track, a powerful worship anthem, will be officially released on Tuesday, October 6th and will be available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and other digital retailers.
To celebrate the release of the new song, Crossroads Media & Entertainment Group will present William Stevens, Jr. & Jubilant Nation’s single release concert on Saturday, October 24th at 5:00PM at Gospel Ark Bible Way Church (4551 Benning Road, SE, Washington, DC 20019 – 202.582.9618).  The free event will be hosted by Stellar Award Winning Radio Announcer and Program Director Tracy Morgan.  In addition to performances by William Stevens, Jr. & Jubilant Nation, the program will feature fellow artists Jeremiah Hicks, Alexis Cook, Tiya Askia, Marvin Myer McCoy, Brea Miles and J. Lanier.
Those who have heard “The Atmosphere Is Ready” can’t say enough positive things about the song.  Penned by Gavin Davis and Chris Leach, the beautiful track is pure worship.  William says, “‘The Atmosphere Is Ready’ is about preparing the environment for the presence of God.  It’s about removing all distractions so that God can enter in and get comfortable,” says the artist.  Worship is a lifestyle for William and he has strong roots in the apostolic church.  He also comes from a family of musicians; his father was a professional bassist.  The music bug bit William, Jr. as well and he taught himself to play piano.  Although music and faith were an important part of his life, an unfortunate incident at church caused him to walk away.  But after a couple of traumatic experiences, including a failed business and homelessness, he found his way back to God and back to music.
Now years later, William is the founder of the dynamic Gospel ensemble, Jubilant Nation.  They are not merely an aggregation of anointed singers; they have a mission in their music.  The group is committed to three areas of focus: glorifying God, edifying the body of Christ and pointing the unbeliever to Christ.  He is passionate about giving back to God and his community.  His ministry, Stevens Ministry, has partnered with ScholarCHIPS to help raise money for children with incarcerated parents. For William, it’s about becoming Christ’s hands and feet. “Whether it’s through music ministry or Stevens Ministry, I feel it’s important to share Christ’s love with the world. For me, that’s what it’s all about.”
