During the Stellar Awards Weekend, RCA Records, formerly known as Verity, held an Inspiration Conference to introduce the “new” label to the industry. Over the past few months the record label went through a few changes, including a name change and promotions among executives within the company. Although there are changes in the label, they made it clear that they’ll continue to put out amazing music.
At the event I ran into Kurt Carr and we had a brief chat about his Stellar Weekend. Kurt reveals why it’s such a special honor to receive the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement award, even though he jokingly admitted that it makes him feel old. We also talk about his new single, “I’ve Seen Him Do It”, as well as the contest he had in conjunction with the single.
