Documenting the events of June 17, 2015, “EMANUEL” is a powerful documentary that examines how faith, hope and forgiveness healed a devastated community after the heinous church shooting at Emanuel A.M.E., carried out by white supremacist Dylan Roof.
Stars including Justin Timberlake, Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Laverne Cox and LL Cool J are buying out entire theaters for screenings of “Emanuel,” around the country on Monday and Wednesday, then handing them out to “local organizations and communities,” including churches.
