Emerging Gospel Artist, Appointed, Gets Nominated For An Urban Inspirational Award

Emerging Gospel recording artist, Appointed is nominated for an Urban Inspirational Award in the ‘Rhythm & Praise Solo Category, for her hit new single, ‘Never’. Winners will be announced at the 6th Annual Urban Inspirational Awards 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia on April 21, 2012.

“I am in awe of GOD! He is so amazing. Receiving any nominations from the Urban Inspirational Awards is an honor,” says Appointed. “I’m thankful to the Lord for everything that I have including my adversities and mountaintop experiences. The opportunity to minister in music for the Lord is a privilege I embrace,” she continues.

Appointed is a foot soldier, grunt, so to speak. One could say that she is almost like a one man band or rather a one woman band because she writes, sings, promotes and produces own music. Prior to hitting the gospel music scene, Appointed acted as a children’s choir director and choir member in San Diego, California at her then home church. Fly Away Records, an independent record label with nationally distributed titles recently released the singer’s new hit single, “Never,” which has garnered radio support in several states.

Appointed is also sometimes referred to as “Pastor Wanda,” and is an Augusta, Georgia based singer/songwriter originally from Wharton, Texas. Her sound is an inviting and ministering form of Gospel music that covers a scale from R&B to Jazz to Hip Hop to Pop. Her lyrics are catchy and praisy- penetratingly sincere & creative – with rich background vocals that have mass appeal to listeners. Appointed is a Pastor, wife, mother, student and a community outreach volunteer.
