David Evans Is “On Pointe” With Hit CD, Book and TV Show

Lindenwold, NJ: Bishop David G. Evans has triumphed over a lot of obstacles in his life. He grew up in the Philadelphia-area projects with a hard-working, single mother and his father was an absentee dad and an alcoholic. In spite of his circumstances, Evans worked his way through college and rose up through the ranks of the corporate world then opened his own million-dollar business before receiving the call to preach in 1990. In the years since, Evans has shepherded Bethany Baptist Church (in South Jersey) into one of the largest congregations on the east coast with 27,000 members where he’s known not only for teaching general spiritual principles but also practical everyday principles on wealth building and managing relationships.

Evans is practicing what he preaches in his endeavors outside of Sunday morning church. His Abundant Harvest Entertainment record label is enjoying success with the best-selling CD, “Bishop David G. Evans Presents Automatic Praise Live.” Over the last two years, the project has included chart hits such as Tracy Shy’s “This Joy” and Earnest Pugh’s “Why Should I Be Bound?” The set has now birthed another hit with Lonnie Hunter’s rousing jam, “Do Something,” that has cracked the gospel Top 40.

On another front, Evans’ latest book, “Dare To Be A Man,” is in its eight printing and continuing to build momentum. Using his own real life experiences, good and bad, as a blueprint, Evans paints a picture of God-inspired manhood not only for men to aspire to but also for women to expect of the men in their lives. Evans discusses these issues and others weekly on his highly-rated TV program, “On Pointe,” that airs Sunday mornings on the Daystar cable network at 7 a.m. EST/6 a.m. CST. With urban moxie and common sense humor, Evans presents a powerful Bible-based message that offers hope and help to a hurting world. For more information, visit www.davidgevans.com
