Tyscot Music & Entertainment is excited to announce the release of Damita’s new project “Anticipation” on July 24th.
Anticipation features many songs written by Damita including her current radio single “Won’t Turn Back”. Other songs from the project are, “Praise You Now”, “Be Revealed”, “You’re Amazing God”, “Still Here” and the title cut “Anticipation (Waitin 4 u)”.
“Praise You Now” has a quick and consistent groove which says, “praising you will always be my remedy”, the track “Be Revealed” is a unique, guitar driven ballad that speaks of God’s glory being revealed in our lives.
The project builds with the song, “You’re Amazing God”, a melodic, big and musically constant praise song describing God’s greatness.
“Still Here” aggressively enters the project reciting the testimony of life and how we’ve endured pain, hurricanes and other pitfalls but we’re still here. The title cut, “Anticipation (Waitin 4 u)” is a sharp ballad that speaks of waiting on God and the importance of remaining still in his presence.
For Damita, Anticipation is true gem for many reasons; one of which has to do with the song “SuperShero”. Upon first listen, this is not a typical track one would find on a gospel record but with a closer listen you’ll discover uplifting lyrics describing women who have overcome many obstacles in life with God’s strength and power.
Penned by Damita, “SuperShero” has a particularly special place in her heart as it’s dedicated to her late mother, Ruby Bass, and other women who have impacted her life in major way.
Damita has been working very hard developing Anticipation and hopes her fans are encouraged through the music and message. Anticipation is definitely a project straight from her heart.
Fans can look forward to seeing Damita perform her new music at various venues across the country.
Anticipation will be released on Tyscot Music & Entertainment on July 24, 2012.
