Damien Sneed on Sirius XM, “Newsone Now w/ Roland Martin” and TBN’s Praise the Lord

damienLeChateau Earl Records multi-genre recording artist and Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient wraps up his 15-city Broken to Minister Promotional Tour this month.  Sneed’s new double disc project, Broken To Minister: The Deluxe Edition was released on March 3. The inaugural release marks the first of a series of album releases by Sneed and label co-founder, Bishop Iona Locke under their new deal with Central South Distribution.

On Tuesday, March 9, Sneed and The Levites’ new music and interview will premiere on Sirius XM’s Kirk Franklin’s Praise (Channel 64) on Monday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. EST, and will reair on Wednesday, March 11 at 8:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday, March 15 at 11:00 p.m. On Tuesday, March 10, Sneed will appear on the award-winning television program “Newsone Now with Roland Martin” on TV One at 9:00 a.m. EST. On Wednesday, March 11, Sneed will appear on WATC’s “Atlanta Live” at 7:00 p.m. EST, the program airs in Atlanta and other cities and will streamed online athttp://watc.tv/onlinestreaming/. And on March 17, Sneed will be a guest on TBNs “Praise the Lord” show at 10:00 p.m. EST.

On Sunday, March 22, Sneed in partnership with Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem’s Red Rooster’s restaurant will launch and host New York City’s only Gospel Open Mic and Showcase “Let the Praise Continue.” The monthly event will feature both national and independent recording artists. Red Rooster/Ginny’s Supper Club is located at 310 Lenox Avenue, between 125thand 126th Streets. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the showcase will begin at 7:00 p.m. The monthly showcase dates are scheduled on Sunday, April 19, and Sunday, May 17. “Let The Praise Continue” Gospel Open Mic and Showcase will resume in September during Gospel Music Heritage Month.

In between Sneed’s two professorships at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Nyack’s Christian College, Sneed celebrated the release of his album on the 15-city Broken to Minister Promotional Tour, which kicked-off on February 26 in New York City. Sneed participated in a series of radio and press visits, along with a series of album release events at churches and other educational institutions in Freeport, NY; Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC; New York City, NY; Augusta, GA; Atlanta, GA; and West Memphis, AR. On March 3, WLIB-AM/WBLS-FM’s Liz Black hosted Sneed’s CD release event at Nyack’s Christian College. The promotional tour will return to New York City, NY (Monday, March 9); with a repeat visit in Washington, DC (Tuesday, March 10); and will continue on to Red Hood, NY (Wednesday, March 11); Raleigh, NC (Thursday, March 12); Fayetteville, NC (Friday, March 13); Columbia, SC, (Saturday, March 14); and Charlotte, NC (Sunday, March 15).

In addition to the promotional tour, Sneed has a series of upcoming concerts and events including promotional opportunities surrounding the 2015 Stellar Gospel Music Awards 30th Anniversary in Las Vegas (March 27-29); the Good Shepherd Baptist Church 75th Anniversary Gala in Augusta, GA (April 17); a concert in conjunction with the Jacob Lawrence exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City (April 23), Sneed’s Carnegie Hall conducting debut for Marsalis’ “Abyssinian 200: A Celebration” on the legendary Ronald O. Perelman Stage (April 26); Opera Philadelphia at Union Baptist Church (June 8); and the 2nd Annual Levites’ Gathering Conference in Washington, DC (June 10-13).
