Yolanda Adams, Y’Anna Crawley, Jessica Reedy & Amber Bullock Performing at 2012 BET Awards
It’s that time of year again, the 2012 BET Award Show is right around the corner. This year the producers of the show put together a special treat for the Gospel Community. BET chose four of the most talented women in Gospel music to share the stage for a special performance. Yolanda Adams, who’s nominated in the Best Gospel category, is scheduled to take the stage alongside some of Sunday Best’s fan-favorite leading ladies. The vocal powerhouses performing with Yolanda are Y’Anna Crawley, Jessica Reedy and Amber Bullock.
Details of the performance are being kept under wraps, so we don’t know if they’ll perform a medley or join forces for a powerful tribute. However, in a recent interview with uGospel.com, Amber briefly talked about her appearing at the BET Awards. Click here to listen to the interview.
A few other special moments of the show will include the late Whitney Houston being honored by her mother, Cissy Houston, in a special tribute. More performers are schedule to participate in the tribute, but those details are being kept a secret as well. Rev. Al Sharpton will receive the State Farm Humanitarian Award and Frankie Beverly & Maze are being awarded the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award.
The complete list of artists in the Best Gospel category is Fred Hammond, James Fortune & FIYA, Kim Burrell, Trin-i-Tee 5:7 and Yolanda Adams.
