Ruth La’Ontra Radio Single is James Fortune’s J Pod Hit of the Week

RuthAny artist knows the feeling that comes with hearing your song played on the radio for the first time.  It’s an indescribable mix of joy, surprise and excitement.  Typically this is a feeling that may only happen once.  For Ruth La’Ontra, however, she got to experience this elation a second time.

Earlier this week, James Fortune selected her current single “Count It All Joy” as theJ Pod Hit of the Week.  For any artist trying to gain exposure for their music, this selection is a huge boost.  Singles that are given this distinction get a special spotlight by receiving nationwide airplay and posting on the show’s website.  In addition, the artist also gets an opportunity to be interviewed during the week as well.

With all of the music that he probably hears on a daily basis, it is safe to say that many artists consider it quite an honor to receive this stamp of approval from one of gospel’s leading tastemakers. For Ruth, this selection was also an answer to a prayer.

“…I don’t know how to feel, but I do know the feeling is great! When you’ve been praying about certain things you just sit back and wait…this long ride was well worth the patience”, said Ruth La’Ontra. If you haven’t had a chance to catch “Count It All Joy” on the James Fortune Show, be sure to tune in tonight on your local Radio One station.

Atlanta residents will be able to check out Ruth La’Ontra perform her single live when she makes a special appearance on the Altanta Live show.  Check local listings for exact showtimes.
