I like the song, but it’s definitely not gospel…this is straight R & B. I too was thinking who is she singing about, certainly not God/Jesus love, His love fairly straight forward, it’s human love that gets complicated.

I really like the song. I do believe it is a crossover song but for Christians to say that this song is not gospel is sad. I see where a Christian’s point of view is indicated. It could be a new Christian. Or a Christian that is struggling with some “thorn in his/her flesh.” Therefore, causing his love for Christ to be complicated as he deals with the demons in his life. This will preach!!!

I like the song! I’m not sure why people are stating it’s a crossover song. It seems like she’s singing about her personal struggle being a Christian and staying on the right path.
