wow. this new reality arena and the church i’m not sure about this mix. watching the preview i’m uneasy although i see the godly side more than any other reality show in this one little clip this is a line that perhaps should not be crossed when it comes to exposing the behind the scenes life of our church/gospel music leaders. i’m just saying. not sure i want to see this.

People have to realize, they are ministers and gospel singers but they are human first and have experience real life issues just like the everyday person. They can be accepted better if people stop putting preachers and gospel singers on a pedestal.

Everyone cannot handle a particular testimony, that’s just the facts. It’s not necessarily about putting people on a pedestal, there are just boundaries. You’re right no one is perfect, but everyone cannot see nor handle you exposed. Even Bishop Sheard is heard saying “turn these cameras off” in the clip.

There are boundaries that are crosses by bringing the reality tv genre into the church. It doesn’t take anything off of the Sheards and the respect they deserve just not sure about this new arena in general.

As I said I saw more godliness shine thru in this 1 little clip than I’ve seen in multiple seasons of other reality shows combined.

Reality television is an arena that members of the Body of Christ need to avoid, as saints exposing aspects of their personal lives for the world to see could be a stumbling block for the unsaved or newly converted. Unsaved people and some “baby” saints lack spiritual discernment, meaning that their desire to get saved or remain saved could diminish as a result of watching reality shows featuring members of the body of Christ. The Word of God even lets us know that some can handle “meat” while others can only handle “milk” meaning that not everybody within the Body of Christ and certainly those who are not saved can deal with particular spiritual matters with more ease. Saints should leave the reality television to the world and not to the body of Christ.

I agree with Sylvia, Mary and Renee, some part of each opinion is on point, I do believe the expectations of individuals in their positions are put to very high extents. they are expected to live the live they sing and preach about without error. HOwever, because they are human, they are without sin and it is their choice to expose that side of them to the public eye, Not to be judged, but I would think as a Testimony. Let’s just see how it goes. God Bless each of you.

The church people and reality tv do not mix. I’m sorry Mary Mary ever opened the door. Family issues need to stay in the family regardless of church title, position or star status.

Private matters and private lives should stay that way…,PRIVATE. What we say in the public arena should be carefully and prayfully chosen, being careful not to offend the least of any.. For the BOOK says; It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended or made weak. Romans 14:21
