I Hear Music Conference to Broadcast Star-Studded Concert on Yes Lord Radio

One of the music industry’s top Gospel conferences is set to take place in Cincinnati, OH.  The I Hear Music in The Hear Conference will be held Friday, May 17 – Sunday, May 19, 2013.  The place to be for aspiring Gospel artists, the conference consists of classes focusing on all aspects of the music business, concerts highlighting national and regional talent, a teen summit and the Legends Ball, celebrating industry icons.  The I Hear Music In The Air Conference is the brainchild of Gospel hitmaker, Tracey Artis. She has tapped 2011 Stellar Award winning Gospel station, Yes Lord Radio, to take part in this year’s festivities.  Also a media sponsor for the conference, the famed Internet radio station will be broadcasting the conference’s Friday night concert live on YesLordRadio.com.  In addition, the flagship radio station for the conference is Cincinnati’s new Gospel station, WGRI 1050.

Starting at 7:30PM EST on Friday, May 17, 2013, the Friday Night Concert features a plethora of talent including Fred Hammond, The United Tenors, J. Moss, William Murphy, Anita Wilson, Larry Callahan & SOG, Temple of Deliverance, Kevin Davidson & UCICC, Isaac Carree, Javen, Livre’, Kevin Vasser, Michael Pugh, and Praise Dancer Stacey Johnson; the concert will be hosted by Y’Anna Crawley and WGRI’s Carl Behanan.

On Saturday morning beginning at 10AM, conference classes consist of Plan & Purpose For Your Life with Dr. Teresa Hairston, Women In Ministry taught by Pastor Juandolyn Stokes and The Industry from A to Z panel hosted by Ace Alexander.  Alexander’s class features other industry notables such as promotions guru Monique Headley, industry trailblazer Vicki Mack-Lataillade, A & R specialist Tracy Williamson, producer Roger Ryan, radio veteran and author Denise Hill, and vocal coach and artist development expert Tray Simmons.

Also at 10AM, Saturday’s line-up is comprised of the Teen Summit hosted by Ray Bady and Christopher with performances by 21:03, BRL Chicago, and Canton Jones.  On Saturday evening, Urban Soul Café is hosting an event with Anthony Brown & Group TherAPy, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, 21:03, BRL Chicago, William Demps, Speak Life, Dunamis, Javen, Livre’, Javon Brock, Gerald Scott and more.

One of the highlights of IHM is Sunday evening’s Legends Ball.  Hosted by radio personality Faith Daniels, performances by special guests Sheri Jones Moffett, Maurette Brown Clark, and Spoken Soul Artist JaHipster will make the evening unforgettable.  Honorees include Dr. Eric Abercrumbie and Head Coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, Marvin Lewis, who will both be walking away with Community Service Awards.  New Jerusalem Baptist Church will be honored with the Church Spotlight Award.  During the Legends Ball, I Hear Music will be presenting the Music Ministry Lifetime Achievement Award to Richard Smallwood; Minister Byron Cage will deliver the Keynote Address.

One of the premier Gospel industry events, the I Hear Music In The Air Conference celebrates its 12th year in 2013.  Aiming to equip up-and-coming Gospel artists with tools for success in the industry, its founder, Tracey Artis is a mover and shaker in the business.  The CEO of I Hear Music, Inc., a promotions and marketing firm, Artis is the force behind some of the genre’s biggest hits including Andraé Crouch’s “Let The Church Say Amen”, Mary Mary’s “Go Get It”, Marvin Sapp’s “My Testimony”, Pastor Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago’s “Awesome”, Israel Houghton’s “It’s Not Over” and Isaac Carree’s “Clean This House” as well as dozens of others.
