Gospel Jazz Balladeer Robert E. Person Releases New Holiday Single, “Carol Of The Drum”

Robert E. Person, well-known for his phenomenal vocal control and tone quality, has become Gospel music’s favorite Jazz Balladeer and he is ushering in the Holiday Season with a special single release.  “Carol Of The Drum” is Person’s interpretation of the cherished Christmas tune “The Little Drummer Boy”.  “Carol Of The Drum” is vocally warm, stylishly arranged and musically flirty…perfect Holiday dinner party music!   “Carol Of the Drum” features Allyn Johnson (piano), a multi-talented musician, composer, arranger and producer whose trademark sound gives brilliance and fortitude to the art of jazz improvisation.  Person’s holiday song will be available for download on iTunes Nov 20.

Person will continue ringing in the Christmas Season with SOULFUL SESSIONS – A Winter Concert Series.  Person has invited a few of his musical friends, artists and groups to share in concert with him at the H Street Playhouse in Washington, DC each Wednesday in December at 7:30 PM.  The SOULFUL SESSIONS Concert Series is sponsored by Theater Alliance and REP Music.

Person has been blessed with an incredible year having multiple awards under his belt.  Person received The Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Award for Artist of The Year in July, The Newsome Music Award – Male Vocalist of The Year in October and on November 10th was awarded The DMV Christian Music Award for Gospel Jazz Artist of the Year.  Person has also received a nomination for the Gospel Sounds Radio Network Annual Awards – Gospel Jazz Artist Of the Year which will be held March 21-23, 2013 in Mobile, AL.

  • I think that what you published was actually very reasonable. But, what about this? what if you added a little content? I ain’t saying your content is not good., but what if you added a title that makes people want more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You should glance at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create post headlines to get viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to get readers excited about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it might make your blog a little bit more interesting.|
