Bishop Jerry L. Maynard and The Cathedral Of Praise Choir have been touring promoting their Top 10 Billboard Chart CD Bishop Jerry Maynard Presents The Cathedral Of Praise Choir. This week, Bishop Maynard and his award winning choir will be on the road to Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY with their special guests Pam Crawford, Candy West, and Michelle Prather. Bishop Jerry L. Maynard was ordained 50 years ago at the age of 17 in Muncie, Indiana at the church where his grandfather was the pastor and at the age of 19 the young Elder Maynard became the assistant pastor of the church. By age 22, Maynard became pastor and within six years, under the leadership of this young visionary, they were able to build a new church and the church grew into the second largest Church of God in Christ in the state of Indiana with over three hundred fifty members. Bishop Maynard completed graduate and postgraduate studies in Psychology and Social Sciences at Indiana University and the Doctorates Division of Cross Roads Bible College. Bishop Maynard served as Director of the Muncie Indiana Human Rights Commission from 1967-1970, a member of the Indiana and United States Civil Rights Commission from 1970-1981, and the President’s Domestic Policy Committee from 1977-1983. He is the recipient of the highest civilian award of the state of Indiana - “Sagamore of the Wabash”. In 1986 he left Indiana and went to Atlanta, Georgia. There he started a ministry with a new congregation only six months old and grew it to over three hundred members. While in Atlanta, Maynard found favor with Bishop G.E. Patterson who eventually asked Dr. Maynard to come to Nashville, Tennessee to preach. He came to Nashville and was appointed pastor on September 5, 1993 to what is now Cathedral of Praise Church of God in Christ. And now, The Cathedral of Praise Choir debut CD has yielded a Top 30 Gospel Radio Single "Just Believe" and garnered the music ministry their first award - The 2013 CHOIR OF THE YEAR from the Gospel Music City Awards in Nashville, TN.

Pastor Donnie McClurkin Announces Cyst on Left Vocal Cord After Hospital Visit

Late Friday night Donnie McClurkin shared some distressing news via Facebook with his fans and supporters. The top selling Gospel singer announced that a cyst on his left vocal cord burst, causing significant damage. We ask that you all join us and Pastor McClurkin in prayer for a speedy recovery. Below is his Facebook status revealing the upsetting information: “Dr. found that a cyst on my left vocal cord burst damaging the cord. my singing is strained & hoarse. I'm concerned but trust God! Pray 4me!a homeless woman cried & asked me 4prayer as I left the hospital 2day.I cried & prayed w/her. A reminder what this is about. SOULS not song!” This has proven to be a trivial year so far for Pastor McClurkin as he lost his mother, Frances McClurkin, in January. Devastating Tornado Causes Destruction in Oklahoma, Official Death Toll Unknown

Our prayers go out to those affected by the devastating tornado that struck Oklahoma. According to reports, a massive, howling tornado pulverized a vast swath of the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday, chewing up homes and businesses, and severely damaging a hospital and two elementary schools. The storm carved a trail through the area as much as two miles wide and 22 miles long, officials said. Firefighters, police, National Guard members and volunteers worked by flashlight overnight and into Tuesday morning, crawling across piles of debris in a determined search for survivors and victims. Air National Guard members brought in thermal imaging equipment to aid in the work. More than 100 people had been pulled from the rubble alive since Monday afternoon, the state Highway Patrol said. Early Tuesday, authorities asked news crews to move satellite trucks from the scene because the idling engines were making it difficult for rescuers to listen for the faint sounds of survivors beneath the rubble. "We're a tough state. This is a tough community," Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb told CNN on Tuesday. "There is hope. We always have hope. We always have faith." The death toll is unclear. The state medical examiner's office said it received reports of 51 deaths in the early stages of search and recovery efforts Monday. But it said it had received only 24 bodies at its Oklahoma City office. Earlier, the medical examiner's office said as many as 40 additional people, roughly half of them children, would be added to the death toll. More bodies could be hidden under the vast debris field, authorities warned. Authorities also had to shut down a stretch of Interstate 35 after the storm showered it with debris from nearby homes it had destroyed. The highway was opened again Tuesday morning, the Highway Patrol said. source

Randall himself has been waging a personal war against another form of cancer, Leukemia, within his own body since 2006.
