Dallas Pastor Dies After Delivering Sermon in Crowded Sanctuary

Could you imagine seeing your pastor die right before your eyes after giving an exhilarating sermon? Unfortunately, the congregation at Christian Chapel CME Church, also known as Temple of Faith, had to witness this horrible tragedy. Last Sunday, Rev. Jerome McNeil, Senior Pastor of the Dallas church, collapsed and died in front of his crowded sanctuary of followers.
Cherry Bullard told CBS News, “He walked down the aisle, like he always does. All of a sudden I heard a thud and I didn’t know what it was. I looked around, and he was gone.”
Rev. McNeil was the pastor of Temple of Faith for over two decades. The church is a historic monument in the community as it was founder nearly two centuries ago in Dallas. The smaller Christian Chapel building still sits behind the much larger Temple of Faith, built under McNeil’s leadership.
I will continue to keep Pastor McNeil & his family in my thoughts & prayers.
