Giving back to the community is serious business for Chicago Mass Choir and has been since the choir’s inception in 1988. Yes, they travel, sing and record award winning projects, but they also remain committed to monthly community service projects and annual donations to support various non-profit organizations.

This year, Chicago Mass Choir made a generous donation to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.  The donation was made during the choir’s 14th Annual Spring Concert.

Chicago Mass Choir’s President, Dr. Feranda Williamson, presented the donation to staff members from the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Melanie Paul and Rev. CharlesStrange.

The AIDS Foundation of Chicago is a local and national leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS and was founded in 1985 by, community activists and physicians.

As a national leader, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago has provided assistance to many people in the Chicago area.

Dr. Williamson expressed the choir’s gratefulness for the foundations work: “Each year as a part of our annual spring concert, we give a financial donation to a non profit org, this year was very special to have the opportunity to support the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, given that so many of our church community family members have been impacted by HIV and AIDS.”
