Former Employee of Rev. Creflo Dollar’s Megachurch Arrested For Shooting/Killing Victim
According to reports, Fulton County police say Gregory McDowell was shot Wednesday morning inside Rev. Creflo Dollar’s World Changers International Church in College Park. The suspect, Floyd Palmer, was arrested later that day at Lenox Square. The shooting occurred just minutes before their weekly Wednesday morning worship service in the chapel.
Authorities say after the incident, McDowell was originally being taken to South Fulton Medical Center, however, the ambulance was diverted to a nearby trauma center. Fulton County officials confirmed McDowell died as a result of the shooting.
McDowell was a 48-year-old church staff member, possibly a member of the production crew. He was on stage and leading a prayer when he was shot at point-blank range. Palmer was a maintenance man at the church but resigned earlier this year. The cause of the shooting is still unknown. Rev. Creflo Dollar was not at the church at the time of the shooting.
