Tyscot Music & Entertainment has added yet another phenomenal talent to its roster with the recent signing of Marica Chisolm. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, this praise and worship songstress began working on her ministry calling early in life. Marica has been quietly honing her musical craft for years as a background vocalist for gospel heavy-hitters such as Dorinda Clark-Cole, Karen Clark-Sheard, Pastor Hezekiah Walker and more. Eventually people began to take notice of her musical talents as a lead vocalist.
Tyscot president Bryant Scott was drawn to Marica’s ministry and wanted to be a part of exposing it to the world. “Marica is an anointed worship leader and her album will bless the nations. I am excited that Tyscot has partnered with DS2 Music to present Marica’s debut album to the world,” said Scott.
Prior to joining the Tyscot family, Marica independently produced the powerful worship project, Simply Worship on her DS2 Music label. The project has generated very favorable feedback from all who hear it. Her goal has been to release Simply Worship nationwide, and now, with this new partnership and support, Marica is poised to take the industry by storm.
She stated, “You know, in this industry, it is easy to make comparisons and measure yourself against one thing or another. However, it gives me joy to know this label values what I have to share with a much larger audience. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and honored to share the gospel music platform with so many other great artists on the Tyscot label.”
The first radio single, a mid-tempo praise and worship song entitled “Used” will ship to radio this month. Simply Worship will be available in stores and online in September.
