Music World Gospel Holds Top 5 and 10 Positions on Billboard’s Year-End Gospel Charts

Houston, TX — Billboard’s Year-End results are in and it’s official—Music World Gospel ranks in the Top 5 and 10 on nine of the eleven gospel charts. Music World Gospel is #4 on the Hot Gospel Songs Imprints chart, #6 as the Hot Gospel Songs Label and #9 as the Top Gospel Album Label.

Contemporary break-through artist and GMA Dove Award nominee Brian Courtney Wilson is Billboard’s #2 Hot Gospel Songs Artist and the #8 Top Gospel Album Artist. Wilson’s debut single “All I Need” is #4 on the Hot Gospel chart and #7 on the Gospel Albums chart. In addition, “All I Need” is #10 on the Gospel Digital Songs chart and “Just Love,” Wilson’s third single from his self-titled CD, is #33 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart.  Award-winning and acclaimed music producer Stan Jones (Just Love and Just Love Deluxe Edition) is Billboard’s #4 Hot Gospel Producer of 2010. Overall, Just Love is #30 on the Top Christian/Gospel Album charts.

Music World Gospel continues its steady climb and is holding strong with Wilson’s re-release of Just Love Deluxe Edition, this week at #11 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart. Wilson’s first hit single, “All I Need,” is #9 this week after 88 weeks on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Song chart and #8 on Billboard’s Gospel Indicator Recurrent chart.  His current single, “Awesome God,” is #24 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart.

Meanwhile, label mate Micah Stampley’s new single, “Heaven On Earth,” from his EP project Release Me, is #1 on Billboard’s New and Active Gospel chart.

Music World Gospel’s recording artists Juanita Bynum and Wilson continue their chart topping success on the Christian Music Trade Association (CMTA) charts. Bynum’s summer release of The Diary of Juanita Bynum: Soul Cry (Oh, Oh, Oh) held the #1 position for 15 consecutive weeks and has continued to hold steady at #2 for two consecutive weeks on CMTA’s Christian Singles/Tracks chart. And Brian Courtney Wilson’s Just Love remained at #1 for 52 weeks and continues its run at #5 this week on CMTA’s Inspirational Album chart.

Several Music World Gospel artists are putting the final touches on their upcoming 2011 releases. Duo Trin-i-tee 5:7 will release their new project on April 5, Micah Stampley is preparing for his live recording with a release date of April 26, followed by Juanita Bynum on May 3 and Brian Courtney Wilson in the fall. As well, Music World Gospel will be releasing various specialty and holiday projects in the fourth quarter of 2011.
