Mary Mary’s WETV National Singing Contest Winner Preps Debut Release

clip_image004Few artists enter the industry with an endorsement from R&B Superstar Patti LaBelle.  But few artists have the talent and expertise of Dileesa Hunter.  A vocal coach extraordinaire, Dileesa was the winner of the national singing contest of GRAMMY Award Winners Mary Mary.  Sponsored by WETV, the sister duo scouted the country for the best singer and Dileesa emerged as the winner.  Now hot on the heels of that success, the wife of Stellar Award Winner and Dove Award Nominee Kendall Hunter, Dileesa Hunter has just released a brand new single, “I Need You”.

The first cut from the artist’s forthcoming debut, I Need You, is a scorcher, an unforgettable song which merges the sophistication of pop and the soul of urban music delivering a polished and inspirational presentation.  Produced and penned by Kendall Hunter, the track has been embraced by radio and media. IChooseGospel.com says, “Dileesa delivers clean and crisp vocals over a track that provides you with that 90?s R&B feel.”  Check out the single here:https://soundcloud.com/andrearwilliams/i-need-you-dileesa-hunter

Born in Manchester, England and a current resident of Atlanta, GA, Dileesa honed her golden pipes in church.  As a part of her grandfather’s Gospel band, she toured the state of Florida as a youth.  It wasn’t until she took the lead mic that she understood she had been blessed with something special.  “As I stood in front of the church and began singing,” recounts Dileesa, “I would see grown men crying.  I remember thinking to myself, ‘Wow, I can touch people with my singing!’”

Later on, she joined a local recording choir called “One Message”.  Her fame spread quickly and she was requested to sing background for local artists at concerts and recordings.  A stand out vocalist, she received scholarships to sing lead in her school jazz band, the show choir and the opera.  Solidifying her musical talent, she pursued an education receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with a concentration in Voice from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA.

With that education, Dileesa became a professional vocal coach and has been endorsed by artists like SWV’s Leanne “Lelee” Lyons” and Ms. LaBelle.  She’s traveled the world teaching gifted singers.  She offers vocal coaching, vocal consulting, training, and production.  An accomplished singer and vocal producer, Dileesa helps singers maximize their vocal potential through YouTube Videos, which have garnered over 2 million views, and her audio series, “Vocal Quick Start” and “Complete Training Program”.  For more information on Dileesa Hunter, log on to www.dileesahunter.com.  Connect with her on Facebook and on Twitter (@dileesahunter).
