Marquis Boone Enterprises Partners With ASCAP For “Discovered”

DiscoveredStar-maker Marquis Boone of Marquis Boone Enterprises has partnered with ASCAP, the oldest and most prestigious performance rights organization in the USA to present “Discovered,” an intense, one-day long series of instructional sessions to assist those who want to break into various aspects of the entertainment industry with workshops ranging from social media branding and songwriting to artist management.

“Discovered” takes place Friday, September 25, 2015 @8 AM to 9 PM at 2021 W. Liddell Road in Duluth, GA 30096. The big event is not only an educational vehicle but also an opportunity for aspiring entertainment professionals to network. Among the esteemed guest lecturers will be Celebrity Vocal Coach “Mama” Jan Smith, who has worked with stars like Usher and Justin Bieber; Crystal Nicole, who has penned songs for artists like Rhianna and Beyonce; Lee Lee Lyons of R&B trio SWV; noted songwriter Deon Kipping; Meelah from the TV One series “R&B Divas Atlanta”; and singer- songwriter and publishing administrator Ted Winn, among others.

For those looking to buttress their backstage experiences, there will be workshops by entertainment attorney Kendall Minter, radio personality and social media expert Ace Alexander and seasoned publicist Bill Carpenter will facilitate a class entitled “The Power of Public Relations.”

The event will close with an artist showcase hosted by Fonzworth Bentley, host of BET’s “Lift Every Voice” program. This showcase will allow aspiring artists to have their music heard and critiqued by an expert panel of judges including Phil Thornton, Vice President/General Manager of Urban Inspirational for eOne Music; radio promotions executive Damon Stewart; ASCAP’s Director of Creative Services, Joncier Rienecker; and Marquis Boone. The showcase will feature live performances by Marquis Boone’s #1 best-selling Gospel acts Casey J and Bri.  The winner of the artist showcase will receive a free demo package from Marquis Boone Enterprises.
