Lisa Page Brooks Records “Live” – Bishop Michael Brooks Presents the Witness Reunion

20151023_235422-1-1History was made over the weekend in Detroit, Michigan. Bishop Michael Brooks, charter member of the popular male group Commissioned, shared an intimate look at his 1986 brainchild, the forming of one of the most popular girl groups in gospel music history, Witness.

Eleven projects later and approaching thirty years since its inception, Bishop Brooks orchestrated an enchanting evening and walk down memory lane. All members ever on the Witness roster were together in the building much to the delight of those in attendance.

The reunion segment was preceded by the “Live” recording of his wife, Lisa Page Brooks. After a successful solo career and  an incredible run with her song “Thank You” (which is still heard in radio across the nation), the next installment in her illustrious career  was met with rave reviews.

Exhibiting her signature sound, Lisa Page Brooks thrilled the audience with her unique vocal prowess. With her daughters Tia & Sunday Best winner Tasha Page Lockhart supporting her on background vocals, the latest chapter in the life of this phenomenal psalmist takes off in a mighty way!

20151023_214533-1Introducing a stellar compilation of new music, the crowds embraced each song delivered. Not to list the entire list of songs ministered, a personal stand out favorite “Identity” is destined to be a hit.

There to witness this awesome evening were industry associates to include Lexi, Bishop Greg Davis, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr, Jacky Clark Chisolm, Lecresia Campbell,  James Murphy, Darius Twyman, Gerald & Tammi Haddon, Derrick Milan, Michelle Prather, Sherrie Nunn Bush, Detroit radio legend Deborah Smith Pollard,  and musicians from throughout the nation.

Congratulations Lady Lisa Page Brooks, Bishop Michael Brooks, and the ladies of Witness for an incredible evening of reflection & praise. The project is slated for a 2016 release.
