Khalif M. Townes, President/CEO of Urban Roundup Group, LLC, is set to extend his brand into the world of Gospel Radio by creating his own online radio station. The radio station, uGospel Radio, will stream from his already renowned and award winning website, uGospel.com.
The music played on uGospel Radio will vary from Traditional to Contemporary Gospel Music, and feature both major and independent artists. The station will also include Urban Gospel/Christian Hip-Hop.
“Creating another radio station will benefit the Gospel Music Industry because there are a lot of artists whose music doesn’t get played enough, and some who don’t get played at all. So I want to provide an outlet for them to share their gift with the world,” says Townes.
uGospel Radio will be available to everyone who visits uGospel.com regularly. Visitors can listen to the radio station as they read the news, events, interviews and other various articles posted on the site. The high volume of traffic gives artists the exposure they desire and will allow them to reach new fans!
uGospel Radio is an officially licensed ASCAP, BMI and SESAC internet radio station, which means any and all music played on the site will generate respected royalties to the artists.
Though specific details about shows and DJs will remain under wraps until the launch, Townes guarantees listeners will be uplifted, entertained and inspired.
