Gospel Ensemble Kevin Davidson & UCICC Fellowship Choir Encourage Believers to Speak Life with New Single, “The Declaration”

kevindavidson1A new year brings new promise. But some believers may be overwhelmed with the same challenges they wrestled with in 2013. Noted Gospel songwriter and LVP Entertainment Recording Artist Kevin Davidson tells the saints to hold on and speak life in spite of what they see. “I believe in now faith and I also believe we are co-creators of our destiny,” states Apostle Davidson. “We are what we say we are”.

The artist’s new single, “The Declaration”, was penned by Davidson, songwriter for Shirley Caesar and Earnest Pugh. He was inspired by two scriptures – Job 22:28 which states “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee” and Psalm 45:1, “My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” “The Declaration”, an up-tempo, throwback tune, is a catchy, uplifting track propelling the listener from speaking it to seeing it.

The single is the latest release from the upcoming CD, Something Happens.  The first single, the album’s title tune, endeared the Gospel music community to the talented songwriter and his group.  Now “Something Happens” and “The Declaration” are both in the Top 100 on the BDS Gospel Singles Chart at #75 and #61, respectively. Davidson is currently putting the finishing touches on the new CD, scheduled for a spring 2014 release.

Hot off their impressive showing at the Hezekiah Walker Choirfest during Stellar Awards Weekend and their rousing Bobby Jones Gospel appearance on BET in December, Davidson & UCICC Fellowship Choir have been gaining a reputation as a gifted and spirited ensemble.  Hailing from Memphis, TN, the group has also been seen on Bobby Jones Presents for the Impact Television Network and Babbie’s House on Atlanta’s WATC-TV; they’ve also hit the road ministering with popular preachers including Prophetess Juanita Bynum.

Those familiar with Davidson’s ministry will remember songs like “Fight On”, “I Know What Prayer Can Do” and “Bounce Back”. Known for his work with the group, The Voices, Davidson now shares the stage with the UCICC Fellowship Choir, part of the United Council of Independent Christian Churches denomination. A Pastor and Apostle, he holds the positions of National Minister of Music and Director of the Fellowship Choir.
