Event Review: The 2nd Annual Saving Our Youth Celebrity Basketball Game, Plus Alexis Spight Interview

DSC_2406On Thursday, January 16, 2014 The 2nd Annual Saving Our Youth Celebrity Basketball Game took place, kicking off Stellar Weekend 2014 in Nashville. The game was held in Trevecca University’s gymnasium and starred some of Gospel’s top artists and personalities. Representing the red team were James Fortune, Isaac Carree, Bro Reggie, Sean Simmonds, Ben Tankard, G Mayes, Ray Bady, Derek Clark, Eric Moore and Jeremy Scott with D. White as coach.

The black team, coached by PK, featured Jonathan McReynolds, Todd Dulaney, Brian Courtney Wilson, The Wardlaw Brothers, Bishop Joseph Walker, Marcus Wiley, J. Drew Sheard and Prymetyme. Ultimately, the red team won, with Isaac Carree taking home the MVP trophy. Rising gospel acts Cheneta Jones and Livre also performed during the event, while Celebrity Stylist Goo Goo and Gospel Rapper Jai provided commentary.

    It’s always a Blessing when we hear about celebrities doing something to keep on track by doing positive things.
