Singer, songwriter and composer, Dee Dee Love, emerges onto the music scene with the release of her praise and worship ballad, “You Loved Me First.”
Born into a family heavily infused by gospel music, Dee Dee began singing at the age of three in her church’s youth choir under the direction of her mother and uncle, the church organist.
After singing with an acappella group for several years, Dee Dee continued using her gift and love of music by writing musical scores for Sal’s Gals Production Company. She also served as Minister of Music, as well as Praise and Worship leader for her church. Still feeling a tug at her heart to do more, Dee Dee surrendered to the call of God in January 2013, and began working on her career as a solo artist, with a mission to encourage the body of Christ and reach the unbeliever through song.
Dee Dee was inspired by her uncle, Kenneth Paden, (Grammy, Dove & multiple Stellar award nominee) whose mega hit, “Hold on Help is on the Way,” inspired the movie, The Preacher’s Wife. Under his tutelage, Dee Dee gleaned a wealth of knowledge concerning discipline, integrity, humility and excellence. And from these valuable lessons learned, she is now poised to make her impact in Gospel music.
The lyrics of her debut single speak to the hearts of people who have searched for love in all the wrong places, but eventually realize that true love can only begin when they accept the love of Jesus Christ.
“You Loved Me First”, which is currently in rotation on internet radio and has already received excellent reviews, is available on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and other digital outlets.
Dee Dee’s full-length project will be released later this year under her own record label, Anoiz Music.
