While establishing the leadership and organizational structure of the Fellowship, plans have been underway for GUF’s first conference – The Gathering – which will take place July 15 – 18 at the Benton Convention Centre in Winston Salem. Over 2,000 people are already registered for the conference, which will feature Dr. Jamal BryantBishop Kenneth UlmerBishop I.V. HilliardDr. Jackie McCulloughBishop John Francis; Bishop Tudor Bismarck and many other speakers, as well as evening worship featuring Tasha Cobbs and more.

Dr. Vanable Moody, Senior Pastor of the Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and author of “The People Factor,” spoke to the newly appointed leaders about “Why the Journey Matters” – imparting his wisdom about what it takes to build healthy, intentional, functional relationships that propel spiritual organizations.

“I have great love and respect for Bishop Neil Ellis, he’s been a friend through the years. He came into my life at a very early point in our ministry and helped me to think bigger. I love him and have great respect for what he is and for what he means to the body of Christ. It was an honor to just try to make a deposit into the life of the Pastors and to be a part of what God is doing,” says Moody.

“I’m excited about the future and for what this reformation means to the larger body of Christ…I certainly know there is room for diversity in the kingdom. I think we all have a place. I believe that’s the point of what Apostle Paul was saying when he said ‘we are one body with many parts,” Moody continues. “I see Global United Fellowship as another part and another addition that will help the body of Christ grow and make a kingdom impact for the Glory of God.”

Bishop Neil Ellis says: “I am in deep admiration of each person that has been prayerfully appointed to leadership in the Global United Fellowship. There is a spirit of excellence within the Fellowship, and a spirit of commitment to one another as we move forward in unity to empower and enrich the Kingdom of God. Each person appointed to leadership is capable, accomplished and, most importantly, willing to serve God’s people with genuine care and integrity.”
